To Europe In A Jiffy 直达欧洲

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has recently launched its inaugural flight operating directly to Vienna. Marking first flight celebrations, THAI held a reception presided by Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo with the attendance of the THAI’s team from Thailand and Austria. Over 250 guests attended the inaugural flight reception at Palais Ferstel in Vienna, including His Excellency Mr. Songsak Saicheua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Vienna.

THAI’s direct roundtrip flights to and from Vienna, located in Central Europe and the gateway to Europe, will make it convenient for passengers to connect flights to various destinations operated by THAI in Europe. Currently, THAI flies to 12 destinations in 10 countries in Europe, including Copenhagen, Oslo, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Stockholm, London, Rome, Milan, and Moscow, which equates to more than 80 flights per week. Passengers travelling from Europe will enjoy travelling to Thailand at a flight time of approximately 10 hours, especially those travelling from Austria which means direct, non-stop flights from Vienna-Bangkok.

Vienna is renown for its revered residents, such as Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. As the city of music, Vienna is famous for its classical composers and Imperial Palaces such as Schonbrunn Palace and Hofburg Palace, as well as the Museumsquartier baroque district.

THAI operates four roundtrip flights per week from Bangkok-Vienna utilising Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that is equipped with 348 seats consisting of 42 seats in Royal Silk Class with full flat beds that recline 180 degrees and 306 seats in Economy Class. THAI’s exceptional in-flight service has won the prestigious Skytrax 2017 World Airline Awards for the World’s Best Economy Class, World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa, and Best Economy Class Onboard Catering.

I AM IN EZ 我在御智

Prominent and influential Australians selected for the covers of EZ Australia were all again featured in the ‘I AM in EZ’ exhibition at SpACE@Collins.

200 invited guests attended the opening ceremony where Guest of Honour Jason Yeap, who also happened to be on the main cover of the first edition of this magazine spoke briefly acknowledging the hard work of CHTNetwork and the importance of EZ Australia to the Australian society. ‘I AM in EZ’ is an exhibition of photography works by award winning Layzhoz Yeap, the chief photographer of EZ Malaysia and Australia. Some of the featured personalities were Rupert Myer, Nicole Chow, Susan Alberti, Ken Ong, Luke Stambolis and Paul Webber. EZ Australia is not only in print but also in digital and social media platforms with a traffic reach of more than

1.5 million. Guests that night were served with a lovely wine from the Greenstone Winery together with a spread of beautiful finger food.

Gucci’s Touch of Renaissance 文艺复兴的触动

The incense burner is designed as a small round dish,featuring Gucci’s Herbarium motif – a whimsical Toile de Jouy design of cherry branches, leaves and flowers, inspired by a vintage fabric. The center bee, a historical Gucci code taken from the ’70s archives, has a small opening to hold an incense stick.

If you are not already a fan of Alessandro Michele then you will be now. Gucci’s designs are going for a thorough rebrand with the launch of its latest line of décor in the fall. Featuring illustrations by Alex Merry Art, Gucci’s Décor collection now highlights signature motifs to wooden chairs, throw pillows and scented candles adorned by metal trays, folding tables, and a range of wallpapers in fabrics like silk, vinyl and paper. The porcelain pieces are produced by Richard Ginori, a Florentine company founded in 1735.

The metal folding table features a round tray printed with a tigers print. The energy of the tiger – a powerful creature – is captured in various ways throughout the collections. Here, the image is layered together to create an abstract effect. Set atop three legs, the table can be folded and features a ring at the top to hang.

The paneled screen features a sea creature jacquard depicting octopus and jellyfish. Designed to serve as an accent piece or a room divider, the screen is equipped with hinges that allow its width to be adjusted by closing or opening each panel.

The pillow in plush velvet is embroidered with an icon of the House – flanked by clusters of flowers. Each pillow is filled by hand, sewn and edged with hand-applied fringe silk trim.

The Chiavari chair is crafted from wood with a lacquered peacock blue finish. The plush velvet upholstery is embroidered with wreaths of flowers and a tiger head. The embroidery is created using a needlepoint technique – tracing its roots back thousands of years, it was predominant in the 17th century, an era that has influenced the House’s aesthetic.
The intricate motifs are embroidered and then hand-applied, a process that takes approximately 10 hours to complete. Brass nail heads detail the edges of the cushion.

The collection will officially debut in September and will be available via its official website at gucci.com. They have yet to reveal the pricing, but for mega-fans of the brand, no number is too great to have a room empowered by Gucci’s designs. The scents for the candles and incense are concoctions of damask rose, intense birch, orange leaves and beeswax, tomato leaves, long grass peppered with basil and lemongrass and lastly infusion of jasmine, leather and salt.

The Richard Ginori porcelain coffee mug with lid is topped with a rooster, one of the many animal motifs that have become synonymous with the House.

A collection of scented candles is embellished with motifs inspired by the House aesthetic. A blend of wax infused with aromatic extracts and essential oils is presented in blue Richard Ginori porcelain featuring the Star Eye motif. The hand holding a ring, a recurring design seen throughout the collection, decorates the top of the lid. The scent, Fumus, captures the dark and intense fragrance of birch, combined with bright notes of orange leaves and beeswax – aromas that would have filled an artisan’s Florentine workshop.

Reaching speeds of more than 200 km/h with specially-developed Pirelli Scorpion tyres, it also has ‘floating’ capabilities across soft surfaces, and highly durable in hot conditions. While there were only a total of 300 produced from 1986 to 1992, the LM002, the Urus is set to create a new Super SUV class of its own, with exceptional power and torque, distinctive design and a significant presence on the road. It comes in an aluminum and fiberglass body, with four-wheel drive transmission, transfer case and three self-locking differentials that could exceed gradients of 120%.

Haute Couture Lives On 高级时装映现

In celebration of the seventieth anniversary of The House of Dior’s debut spring-summer 1947 collection, the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia recently presented the never-before-seen exhibition The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture. Exclusive to Melbourne, the exhibition is a collaboration between the NGV and the House of Dior, Paris, and features a sumptuous display of over 140 garments from Christian Dior Couture designed between 1947 and 2017.

The NGV has announced that two Dior haute couture works, especially commissioned for and acquired by the gallery, will be on display in the exhibition. They are Essence d’Herbier from the spring–summer 2017 collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Look 10, Bar coat from the autumn-winter 2012–13 collection, designed by Raf Simons. Drawing primarily on material from the House of Dior archive and the NGV Collection, the exhibition also features accessories, sketches, photographs, haute couture toiles (prototypes) and multimedia.

The exhibition, first outside of Paris, will also explore Dior’s unique affinity with Australia, including the historic spring 1948 fashion parade at David Jones, Sydney, which featured 50 original creations by Christian Dior. It is also featuring the iconic grand, sweeping staircase used in countless photo shoots and fashion parades over the House’s 70-year history.

The exhibition opening was celebrated with the inaugural NGV Gala, a ticketed, black-tie ball on Saturday 26 August 2017. The proceeds from this event will go toward supporting the NGV Fashion and Textiles Collection.

Malaysia’s Top Brands in Hong Kong 马来西亚顶级品牌到访香港

Malaysia’s oldest sesame oil brand Ghee Hiang together with Hung Chun soy sauce organized a meet and greet session with the media in Kim’s Kitchen Hong Kong. Purpose was to introduce Ghee Hiang 100% pure high quality sesame oil and Popo soy sauce to the local food bloggers and influentials. Among the guests were Kin’s Kitchen owner and famous food writer Lau Kin Wai and Jack Ting from Telford. This program was made possible by Ichi Media.

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zabidin Hamidi delivered a keynote address during the 9th World Chinese Economic Summit 2017 in Hong Kong. The two day event themed ‘Managing Global Uncertainty : Exploring New Opportunities’ gathered leaders, government officials, academics and business people as well as thinkers from more than 30 countries as a platform to further explore strengthening global ties among countries. Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute or ASLI ACE Tan Sri Michael Yeoh said that there are still many opportunities despite growing global uncertainties including the USA and North Korea issue. 500 participants attended the summit and among the global leaders were Minister of Transport Malaysia Dato’ Seri Liow Thong Lai, Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affair of China in Hong Kong, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam, Governor of Victoria, Australia, Linda Dessau, former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf and many more. One of the 20 Award Recipients for 2017 was none other than Dato’ Seri Khor Teng Tong, Executive Chairman of Hunza Properties Berhad. Coming from a fishing village, Khor later made a mark in the Malaysian seafood industry before successfully entering the property market. He has demonstrated a lifetime commitment to make a difference and has provided outstanding contributions over the years in the Malaysian property market and was awarded the ‘Leadership in Property Development and Shopping Complex Lifetime Achievement Award’ recently in Hong Kong.
